Mangia with Micheline, The journey Continues Has Arrived

My second book has finally been published after many months with the help of friends. Gene Hutnak of Gene Hutnak Photography not only took my photo, he also designed both the front and back cover. Maggie Round from Round’s Collision Center & Auto Sales took my words and photos and created a beautiful book. Katie Thorn created original art work for the illustrations. My niece Teresa Capobianco acted as my comma editor, she claims I’m comma crazy! My husband Sal as well as my nieces, Tanya, Lori, and Jade sorted through the thousands of photographs searching for just the right ones to include with the stories.

The book starts January 2014, a milestone month and year, it is the month my beautiful mother, Mary Bevelacqua(Bevilacqua) Grossi turned 100 years old. Throughout the book I share stories of this remarkable woman along with some of her favorite recipes. On December of that year, just 16 days shy of her 101st birthday she passed away. The journey continues throughout the years and ends on December 2020. I share stories each month about family, friends, the joys and the heartaches of my life and each month there is a recipe or two to add to the anecdotes

My mother and my grandmother my inspiration for all my culinary talents

Having finally achieved my goal of a second book comes the part I really enjoy, getting out and meeting people, telling stories, sharing recipes, and selling my book. I am really looking forward to seeing my friends and relatives especially after the pandemic. Last week, I stopped by our friends place in West Warwick to bring her the books she had ordered and have some wine and food; it turned into an impromptu book signings.

Now that I have books in hand, I have scheduled two book signings. The first is on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at UnWine’d Beer & Wine Lounge, 400 Providence St. West Warwick, RI from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. So stop in for a glass of wine and bite to eat!

The second book signing is on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Charming Treasures, 178 Danielson Pike, North Scituate, RI from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. As and added bonus, my friend, a first time author, Nancy Saben Brown will be there with her delight book “Freckles the Cow” a delightful story, beautifully illustrated about two sisters and their pet cow. Please stop by if you can, we would be delighted to see you.

If you are unable to get to make my book signings {more to come} you can purchase my book on Amazon, Kindle, and Kindle Unlimited.
